Bio
Tom P Kelly is the founder and CEO of Visionary Intermodal Products and Solutions, LLC. Kelly retired from BNSF Railway in 2011 after over 40 years of service with BNSF and Santa Fe Railways. During his career, Kelly worked in several management leadership positions, his last position was System Director of Intermodal Operations and Technology.
Kelly had begun his career in intermodal as a truck driver and lift equipment operator at Santa Fe Railway intermodal facilities. During his career, he was responsible for a variety of functions having to do with Intermodal operations including terminal design, equipment design, software design and integration, safety, and labor management and relations.
Kelly holds 13 U.S. Patents for various products utilized in the intermodal industry today, some of which have become industry standards and have moved the industry forward with enhanced technology. He has the unique honor of receiving the most patents of any employee in the history of BNSF railway.
His extensive experience and common sense practical application have lead to a career history of successful designs and implementation of products and solutions for the intermodal industry.
Tom attended Baylor University on an athletic scholarship and where he earned degrees in management and marketing.
